1946 - 2022
Colin Scott Munro passed away on the morning of December 17, 2022. He was a caring husband, a wise father, and proud architect. He will be greatly missed by his wife Luba, children Akim (Britt) and Lara, siblings Hilary (Gerry), Peter (Sue), Phoebe, and Celia (John) as well as his numerous nieces, nephews, grand-nephews, and grand-nieces, friends, and colleagues. He was predeceased by his parents Nora Miles Munro and Douglas Munro, brothers Hamish (Marshall) and Nicholas (Faith).
Deeply committed to the belief that everyone had a right to a decent and safe home, Colin spent most of his career working on affordable, non-profit housing and was involved in the creation of hundreds of units in the Montreal area. Colin was also an accomplished craftsman and builder. His custom doors and furniture, staircases and cabinets can be found throughout Montreal and beyond.
A warm, empathic, kind, creative, and attentive person, we share his tremendous loss with many.

Colin Scott Munro est décédé au matin le 17 décembre 2022. Il était un mari attentionné, père sage et un fier architecte. Il laisse dans le deuil sa femme Luba, ses enfants Akim (Britt) et Lara, ses frères et sœurs Hilary (Gerry), Peter (Sue), Phoebe et Celia (John), ainsi que ses nombreux neveux et nièces, petits-neveux et petites-nièces, amis et collègues. Il fut précédé dans la mort par ses parents Nora Miles Munro et Douglas Munro et ses frères Hamish (Marshall) et Nicholas (Faith).
Profondément convaincu que tous ont un droit à un logement décent et sécuritaire, Colin a dédié la majorité de sa carrière à création d’habitations abordables et sans but lucratif et a participé à la réalisation de centaines d’unités à travers le grand Montréal. Colin était aussi un artisan et menuisier accompli; ses portes, escaliers et mobilier sur-mesure peuvent être trouvés un peu partout à travers Montréal et au-delà.
Un homme chaleureux, empathique, créatif, et attentif, nous partageons son énorme perte avec plusieurs.
