It goes without saying how terribly disappointed we are to hear of Jim's untimely passing. The many wonderful memories of Jim as a Vivian Street neighbour, an educator to both our children, an interesting lunch buddy, a talented hockey player & teammate, & simply just an all around true friend. Our memories of what we shared with Jim over the many years will be cherished forever. We are both so grateful that we shared part of our lives with him. A special person taken far too soon. Our hearts, thoughts & prayers are with you all during this sad & difficult time. God Bless.

He was my gym teacher at Jubilee from 1977 to 1983. He left me with such great memories of my time there. I will always remember him for saying "it was the greatest thing since sliced bread" and for playing "what time is it Mr. Wolf" with us. I often thought of him..... definitely anytime I drove by Jubilee. I remember very few teachers but he is one of them I can still picture. When you spend 7 years with someone as your gym teacher , it sticks with you. My condolences to all those who loved him.
Jim was a great gym teacher. I had in in the mid '70s at Jubillee. My sincere condolences t0 the whole family.
Cooker I will really miss seeing your face around the Legion, Scottyz and many other familiar places in Greenfield Park. You will be missed more than you know. xxoo
25 years ago, Jim Cook taught me a love of play, a lesson I pass on to my son and his friends. My memories of him as a teacher are warm and comforting with his passing. I wish all who mourn him solace.
Nos sympathies a toute la famille. Pas facile la perte d’un papa. Bon courage on pense à vous.
We were shocked and saddened by the news of Mr. Cook, he was my sons gym teacher for a few years at Jubilee and gave some very interesting insight to me about why my son was having difficulty going to school, he was kind and gentle and had a wonderful relationship with the kids he taught,,, Rest in Peace Mr. Cook you did good...
My condolences to his family. He was a great person. He taught me and my kids at Jubilee. I’ll miss seeing him once a year in August. May he Rest In Peace.
Have nothing but great memories of Jubilee and Mr.Cook was one reason why. Not only a great teacher whom spent numerous years with us ... he made time with him fun, encaging and interesting. My condolences to the Cook Family.
Jim was a great friend i will miss him,R I P.
Rest In peace Mr. Cook.
You were one of the first adults, outside of my own parents (Ross and Marlene) I had ever known. For 6 years me and my classmates waited impatiently to go to gym class, do the Monster Run, torture ourselves with the flex arm hang or, on the best of days, play Pirate in the full gymnasium. You were eternally patient, always warm and welcoming and a bridge to the real adult world for us kids.
Thank you for the memories.
One of your little cacahouètes.
Our deepest condolences to Jeff, Sandra and Graeme. We were shocked to hear of his passing, and we will miss seeing him walking Puck and talking about hockey, debating on the sidewalk about random current events. He was a friend of my parents, my elementary school gym teacher and our neighbor. His presence will be missed.... Hang in there kids... xoxox
So many great memories in his gym class at jubilee where he taught myself and my 3 brothers. We went to war with him on the sports field, arrived to games in his van, heard his amazing stories... all this before age 12 lol! I ran into him occasionally in GFK walking his dog and we reflect on teaching bec I became a gym teacher, obviously influenced by him. Told him once how great he was and he received the praise with a smile then modestly changed the subject. Good bye Mr Wolf, Mr Hippie Hair, Mr Fun, Mr Cook, u will always b remembered by the little kids in all of us!
I played hockey for a while with Jim (Geritol league). He was very likeable and a Bon vivant. My condolences to the family

I'm so sorry to hear of his passing.Mr Cook was my grade 6 gym teacher. He taught me the love of basketball. He would pile all the girls in his little volks wagon and away we Go. Lots of fun times. Rest in peace Mr.Cook you will always be remembered.

We always enjoyed our chats while walking in the neighborhood.
We wanted to you our deepest sympathies, our thoughts & prayers are with you. We hope the memories you hold help you through this very difficult time.
J'ai travaillé avec Jim à l'école Jubelee. Nos party d'école furent mémorables. C'était un gars sympathique et anti-conformisme. Va en paix Jim et je t'envoie pleins de bisous.
Mes sympaties a toute la famille
I feel like I got to see the best of both worlds. I got to experience your dad as a teacher. Jim for gym class? As kids we thought that was just amazing! Your dad taught us that physical activity could be fun and that we didn't need to play complicated sports with lots of rules to be active. Mr. Wolf was where it was at!
I also got to experience your dad as a dad, while hanging out at your house on Raymar. He let us do our own thing, let us be kids while he was never far away. I still picture him lying on the sofa reading his book or listening to music.
Your dad was very special, and we are all so lucky that we got to share him with you. Sandra, Graeme and Jeff, I am keeping you in my thoughts.
From myself and my entire family, you all have our deepest sympathies, prayers and thoughts on the passing of Jim.
I first met 'Jimmy' about 50 years ago when he was teaching at William Latter school in Chambly ... where my mom also taught kindergarten. Jimmy became Mom's ride to and from work; in his infamous VW bus. He also gave me my first pair of decent skates which changed hockey for me forever. We spent many evenings watching hockey games at the Rustic and later Jim joined us many times at our annual family cabane-a-sucre gathering. Whenever I think of Jimmy it brings a very fond smile to my face.
He will be truly missed by us all.

I am so sorry to hear about Mr. Cook’s passing. He taught me phys Ed at Jubilee. I became a teacher because of him and the incredible teachers he taught with. I use all the games and skills he taught us and they love it! Gym with Jim! He very rarely got angry with us and gave up his lunch break to have games in the gym for us! Rest easy Mr. Wolf and remember to tell me when it’s lunch time!!
