À Longueuil, le 24 novembre 2020, à l’âge de 88 ans, est décédé William T. Bould, époux de feu Suzanne Lemieux et père de feu Patrick.
Il laisse dans le deuil ses deux fils, Sean (Jill) et Darrin (Jean-François), son frère Michael Leduc (Mary) ainsi que plusieurs parents et amis, incluant ses camarades du « French Connection » et de la chorale du St. Augustine of Canterbury Parish.
Très affectueux, mon père ne se lassait pas de répéter que notre mère était magnifique et qu’elle était la reine de son coeur. Aucun passant ne pouvait croiser son chemin sans apprendre comment il était fier de ses trois garçons : « I’m so proud of my boys. » Généreux de son temps, il se rendait disponible pour sa famille : les nombreux dimanches matins passés à l’aréna, les innombrables soirées sur les terrains de baseball de la ville et les séances de « taxi » pour nous déposer un peu partout sur la Rive-Sud. Il était un homme de famille exceptionnel.
Bill adorait sa 2e carrière comme brigadier scolaire, plus de 23 ans sur le coin des rues de Beaumont et de Montarville. Il accueillait les enfants avec le sourire et saluait les passants avec un signe de la main chaleureux empreint de bonne humeur. On pouvait l’entendre arriver de loin : ses sifflements le précédaient partout où il passait. Véritable crooner, il adorait s’offrir en spectacle. The Barber Shop Singers, la chorale de Saint-Bruno, The Carousellers Choir et la chorale du St. Augustine of Canterbury Parish ont tous profité de sa belle voix grave.

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing on November 24th 2020, at the age of 88, of William T. Bould. He was predeceased by wife Suzanne Lemieux and son Patrick.
He will be greatly missed by his sons Sean (Jill) and Darrin (Jean-François), and by his brother Michael Leduc (Mary). Left with many fond memories are his friends from the French Connection and from the St. Augustine of Canterbury choir of St. Bruno.
Dad was a very affectionate man, he repeated endlessly that our mother was beautiful and that she was his one and only. Strangers who would cross his path would certainly learn how proud he was of his three boys and their achievements. He always made himself available for his family: countless Sunday mornings spent at the arena and numerous evenings watching his boys on the city's baseball fields. He even took on a part time job: taxi driver dropping off his three boys anywhere they needed to go. Dad was definitely an exceptional family man.
Bill loved his 2nd career as a school crossing guard, he spent over 23 years on the corner of Beaumont and Montarville streets. He greeted the children with a smile and acknowledged passers-by with a friendly wave. You could hear him coming from afar: his happy whistles preceded him wherever he went. As a true crooner, he loved to perform on stage. His beautiful deep voice blended in harmony with the other singers where he sang: The Barber Shop Singers, la chorale de Saint-Bruno, The Carousellers Choir and the St. Augustine of Canterbury Parish choir.

I am so proud to have him as a dad. He is what it means to be a dad, a man and mostly a human of the highest caliber. I will miss you deeply and I know your next chapter is what you were hoping it would be. You will always be as Pearl Jam sang: The Man of the Hour
Toutes mes condoléances à toi cher Darrin, à ton frère Sean, à Jean-François, à Jill,...et à toute la famille. J’ai rencontré votre adorable papa une seule fois et j’ai été touchée par son humanité hors norme! Un être attachant, bienveillant et aimant!
On devient orphelin quel que soit le moment de la séparions d’avec un de nos parents.
Je suis en pensée avec vous.
Je n’ai pas eu la chance de connaître ton père mais ayant des amis de St-Bruno, nombreux sont ceux qui le connaissaient, sans le connaître, de par sa responsabilité de brigadier sifflant et saluant. Sa personnalité attachante est un leg qu’il t’a transmis, c’est évident! Ainsi, il continue son oeuvre malgré son départ.

I have good memories of your father. I remeber him being a positive man always with a smile. I don't beleive that he would want you and Darrin to be sad but happy for him that he is now reunited with his better half. He will now whatch over you and your family with his Suzanne and Patrick. Je n'aurai vu ton papa vraiment qu'une fois lors d'un repas de famille, il y a bien longtemps, je garde dans mon souvenir un homme très joyeux et très aimant, dans un foyer chaleureux... Il va manquer aux producteurs de vin chilien et hongrois... Toutes mes condoléances vont à toi mon ami Darrin, Jean-François et à ta famille. Mille pensées affectueuses vont vers toi.
Mes plus sincères condoléances mon cher Darrin, à toi et ta famille. Ton père avait un magnifique sourire et le texte écrit est empreint d'amour. Quel homme, il a été! Il a fait la différence dans la vie de plusieurs, j'en suis persuadée.
Bon courage à vous tous. Soyez certains qu'il sifflote encore. Tendez l'oreille, le vent dans les branches peut devenir musique.

Impossible d'oublier votre papa/beau-papa. Toujours de bon humeur, son cerveau baignait sûrement dans la sérotonine et la dopamine. L'hommage que vous lui rendez dans votre texte est juste et touchant. Je garde de tellement bon souvenir de Bill. Je me souviens comment il aimait taquiner sa femme en prononçant certains mots d'église, ce qui avait pour conséquence de faire réagir son épouse. Où qu'il soit, il y doit y avoir de la bonne humeur et du chant. Merci d'avoir croisé mon chemin M. Bould.

I did not know your Dad personally but I waved to him umpteen times. I often went by the corner of Beaumont and Montarville and he always smiled and waved back. I am so sorry for your loss.

J'ai connu William, surnommé Bill, dès l'an 2000 comme brigadier scolaire, il faisait traverser sécuritairement l'intersection Beaumont/Montarville à mes trois filles.
Je le croisais régulièrement, toujours sympathique et souriant, il saluait tout le monde.
C'est en quelque sorte son exemple que j'ai repris comme brigadier scolaire en 2014 lorsque je l'ai croisé à nouveau dans ma 2ième carrière comme brigadier scolaire.
Nous nous rappellerons toujours de ton amabilité.

To you, Sean and Darrin, I offer my
most sincere condoleances.
What a lovely tribute to your Dad. He was well liked by all who knew him. Billy was such a delightful man and was always in good humour and upbeat. To those close to him he was always a tease, just like Pop. For me growing up, he was always my big brother and, later, my best man. He was the friendliest person and never said a bad word towards anyone.
Billy will be sorely missed and will always be in our hearts.

I am saddened to hear the news of Bill. I have been singing at St Augustines Parish over 10 years where I knew Bill. Bill was such a kind and gentle man who always appreciated all his friends. Bill had a beautiful voice and he loved to sing. We enjoyed Bill being in the choir and now he will be singing from above. I hope we will get to celebrate his life and sing him his final farewell from the choir members who loved him so... God bless you all
I had heard your Dad wasn't well but seeing that he had passed really hit me hard. A nicer, kinder man would be hard to find! One of my all time favourite customers at Provigo, I looked forward to serving him and your beautiful mother every week. Later I had the pleasure of working with you.

Bill était un homme très sympathique et toujours de bonne humeur. Il a été mon collègue de travail comme brigadier scolaire pendant 23 ans. Je me souviendrai de lui comme étant une personne forte et résiliente.
