After a courageous and brief battle with cancer, Ann Marie Lord passed away peacefully on Oct 29th, 2025 at the young age of age 58.
Ann was the beloved partner/wife of Ron Lapointe of 20 years. she was an amazing mother to her children Allison, Tyler and stepson Sean. She was so proud of them.
She will be sadly missed by her sisters Suzanne, Helle (John) and her nieces/nephews here in Canada Jessica and Ashton and Denmark Carina, Charlotte and Carsten.
Ann is predeceased and reunited with her father Jerome Lord, mother Alice Hansen and sister Heather Lord.
She was the ultimate caregiver. Despite her own struggles she never once stopped taking care of others. During her battle with RA she still found the strength to provide palliative care for her mother and sister, as well as her many patients at the MUHC Oncology/Hematology unit and the Chest institute.
We would like to acknowledge all her friends and coworkers who were there in her final days to provide her with the care and support she so deserved. Your care and compassion will never be forgotten.
As per her wishes there will not be a funeral or service. The family will have private celebration of life at sometime in the future.
